The Festival main tournament “Uppsala Open” will be played 12-18 August. It is open to anyone who is a member of a Swedish chess club or FIDE-registered in another country.
The games start at 10.00 every day . Personal registration in the playing hall no later than 9.30 on the first day.
Time limit: 90 minutes for the whole game and 30 extra seconds per move starting from move 1
Other important information: There is an opportunity for a “bye”, meaning that one can skip one round and get ½ points, in any round if you register it before the first round. If you chose to take a bye in the last round you will not be able to win a cash prize.
Fee : SEK 500
Prices : 1) 3000 SEK 2) 2000 SEK 3) 1000 SEK. Rating prizes for at least every tenth player.
